Stories 
Calum Brash

Calum Brash has been kayaking for about five years.
His Canoe Polo career began in 2003 with the Otago Boys High School C grade team,
In 2004 they won B grade . 
For 2005 they made made the jump to A grade.
 
On the way, the team competed in the South Island championships, taking out the Under 18 competition.

This year, Calum was part of the first team from Dunedin to attend the New Zealand secondary schools championships in Rotorua, where they made fifth place. 

While at the champs,  he  was selected for the New Zealand Schools Tournament team which trials for the NZ Under 18 team.
He has made it into the squad so far. 
After the next two training camps comes the selection of the final team of seven to compete at Oceania in Christchurch against Australia

Calum Leith Aug 05 On the Slalom side, competing in the U16 K1 Men’s section, Calum recently  finished 8th nationally.
While there (sound familiar?) he was selected for the New Zealand  Under 18 Team. 
There 's a training camp in mid December  a trip to Tasmania in January, as part of the Under 18 team.

During winter, while most of us have been inside by the heater at night, Calum has been out training

Four training sessions a week, on top of playing Canoe Polo, helping to run C grade Polo and school work too!
